⏱ YPP Pace

How Long Does the YPP Review Take?

Official answer: YouTube says you’ll get a decision “typically in about 1 month.” It can take longer because of application volume, system issues, or channels that need multiple reviewers (YPP overview). Applications are handled in the order they’re received.

Creators report a wide range of wait times, from under 24 hours to several weeks (example Reddit thread). Those reports are anecdotal, not guarantees.

When the clock starts

Your application is in the queue once you’ve accepted the YPP terms and linked AdSense for YouTube, and Studio shows “In Progress” under Get Reviewed (source).

After a decision

Why this matters before Feb 1, 2027

The entry bar doubles for new applicants on Feb 1, 2027 (Help). YouTube hasn’t said how it treats applications that are still pending on that date (unconfirmed), so apply as early as you can.

FAQ

Can I speed up the review? YouTube doesn’t describe any way to. Can I upload while I’m under review? Yes. Reviewers look at your channel as a whole, so keep your uploads policy-compliant.
